Barbeque Chicken

I bought two whole chickens on sale and put one in the crock pot, cooked and deboned it and did
the other the next day. I then took "Famous Daves' Sweet and Tangy" barbeque sauce and mixed it with "Famous Daves' Devils Spit" super spicy barbeque sauce and the chicken meat and canned it. It's great even though the meat was precooked. I can heat it right out of the jar (after draining a bit of the sauce) and use right on buns. This is a great meal to have on hand.

All meat raw or cooked needs to be processed for 90 minutes quarts, 75 minutes pints at
11 lbs PSI or the PSI for your altitude.

Nice Idea. It is always a nice idea to have heat and eat meals - for those days when you are in a rush.

This tastes really good… I want to try making home made BBQ sauce someday… I clipped a recipe out of an American airlines magazine last week on my way to Washington DC… If it tastes good, we will post it…

I love your blog!
My neighbor bought me a pressure canner a few years ago and showed me how to can the basics. I've just started canning meat and soups, and your blog is incerdibly inspirational. I can't wait to read more of your experiments.

If you don't mind, I'd like to add you to our blogroll - www.seventrees.blogspot.com

I am so jazzed that I just happened to fall upon your blog...because I want to glean from your experience.....I've canned ONCE - peaches and want to make fig jam - I have a prolific fig tree....

My husband bought me the queen of canners - the American one...and it's still in the box...so, maybe I'll get the courage and inspiration from your posts and the gals who make such wonderful comments...

woohoo....lylah
